Qatar celebrates World Mail Day

Qatar Postal Service celebrated the World Mail Day which falls on October 9 of each year, under the slogan “Innovation and Integration”.

The company confirmed its commitment to provide quality services acceptable to clients and accessible at any time and everywhere, and the development of postal services and to achieve partnership with customers.

Commenting on the event was Mr. Bashar & Abdul Rahman Hussein, director general of the International Union of Mail. They said: "Mailing must evolve and find new ways to go beyond just connecting things to the customers doorstep".

On this occasion, Qatar Post organized stamps exhibit, in cooperation with the Community College, to reflect the history and development of postal services in the State of Qatar, as well as organizing an introductory tour for students of Abdul Rahman bin Jassim Standard School, in collaboration with the Qatar Charity Center for Community Development.

The students will be informed on the different departments and postal services, as part of raising awareness of the importance of the postal sector and its role in development and national economy, and learn about the different versions of the stamps that reflect national occasions and whatsoever our beloved country witnessed from progress and renaissance in all fields.

Students distributed flowers to the postal employees in recognition of their role and encourage them, just like the Qatar Post’s distribution of this year's celebration poster to the different branches.
